Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after her hometown. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's parents have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder and her family moved to California's Mendocino County, when Ryder was just seven. The family was in a house that didn't have electric power. Ryder read a lot due to the absence of television. Ryder started taking classes in acting in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was twelve years old. At the age of 15, Ryder landed her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder experienced bullying at the high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actor would be able to help. Unfortunately that didn't come to happen. But she pushed on with her goals. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major breakthrough. Ryder played roles that were successful in various films. In 1993 she received two nominations to win Academy Awards. One of them for her role In The Age of Innocence.
