Queen Latifah

Dana Elaine Owens, better than Queen Latifah the US, is a performer and actress. Her work as a music actor, filmmaker and TV performer has garnered her two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Image Awards. She also was awarded an Grammy Award and six other Grammy nominations. Queen Latifah was born in and lived in Newark New Jersey the daughter of Rita an educator who worked for Irvington High School and Lancelot Owens Jr. as a police officer. Latifahs parents split up at the age of Latifah, then ten years old. Latifah went to Catholic school in Newark New Jersey and was raised by her family's Baptist Church. Dante Ross of Tommy Boy Music was interested by the tune. The singer signed Latifah and then released her first track Wrath of My Madness in 1988.
